And now for something completely different. It's...

What's New ?
Added my PGP public keys. To find out more about PGP, see [!!] www.pgpi.com

What's Planned ?
I don't really get much screen time nowadays, since I don't have a computer at work and get home only every other weekend. (Which is barely enough to catch up on my newsgroups and people are getting quite annoyed by those fortnight delays on eMails - sorry, folks!) But all the same, I'm tossing around ideas for a simulator for Braitenberg vehicles (which probably will never get any more written than my telephony app ;-) ) which might, in the long run, go as far as implementing Mnemotrix and maybe even Ergotrix wiring. (If this doesn't sound enlightening, try to get hold of Valentin Braitenberg's excellent book "Vehicles" which is about 10 years old, but still very worth reading! It gives you itching programming/soldering fingers :-) )

Programs
Here you will find some useful tools for everyday work with DOS and Pascal:
All these are distributed free of charge and no registration is needed. Comments are highly appreciated. Distribution explicitly permitted as long as I am credited as the original author (and that's what I am!).
Also available: a short summary on how lossless compression works (in German, dvi, 30k)

Telephony
All of you who came here for the Telephony program will probably be disappointed - it will not be available for download anymore.
I used to have a link to a reference page by Hayes, but that page is down and I can't put my copy up for copyright reasons.
To put it another way: right now, there is nothing on telephony available from this page right now. Sorry!
Maybe a short guide to vox modem programming will be made available in the future.
Right now, your best bet is to feed AT#V into your favourite search engine or figure out the commands by yourself - that's how I started: PhoneTools, the software that comes with many modems nowadays, lets you trace the modem commands it issues.

My sorry life
OK, so my exams went well... I graduated smoothly and am now doing millitary service replacement work (or whatever "Zivildienst" translates to *g*) in the middle of nowhere, next to a bunch of cows who are probably happier than I am. Life can be terribly lonely sometimes :-(

Friends & School & Links
And while you're at it, why not visit [!!] my (ex-)school's homepage?
Or the homepage of [!!] Die Helden (the heroes), (in German) some people I have the pleasure of knowing and who have put a lot more work into their pages than I did. (Even though there was no update for about 3+ weeks) Pommes!
or for some computer gaming, check out one of the all-time classics, [!!] Nethack
